Harsh Cornering

Raven has always monitored potentially risky driving behaviors via Speeding, Harsh Braking, Rapid Acceleration, and Potential Impact Events. We are happy to now include Harsh Cornering as an Event that partners can opt to offer their customers. When Raven detects that a vehicle has taken a corner too aggressively, Raven will mark it as an Event with an associated location, preview images, and the ability to retrieve a short video from the device remotely. Harsh Cornering thresholds are configurable between 0.2-0.6 g's.

The example below demonstrates how Raven Connected allows its own direct customers to set Harsh Cornering thresholds based on their vehicle type and preference for trigger sensitivity from within our Web App. A reminder that we freely encourage channel partners to access and explore the Raven Connected UI for ideas and comparison purposes with their own platforms as desired. While web components are building blocks, playing with the features and understanding their role as part of a product story helps develop a foundation that goes well beyond a singular alert or setting. 

1. From our Settings page users can choose to toggle the Event on/off.

2. To adjust the threshold, users can click and drag the slider to their desired threshold or enter a value to the left of the slider. Vehicle type indicators are listed along the slider to give users a sense of the sensitivity appropriate for their vehicle type.
