Verifying Cable/Power Connections
What it is
Verifying Cable and Power Connections is a troubleshooting step that ensures the Raven device is receiving consistent power and helps isolate power-related issues. Troubleshooting can be performed in a vehicle or with an AC Adapter kit.
When to do it
Example scenarios:
- When the Raven’s display does not power on while the vehicle's engine is running or turns off unexpectedly.
- When the Raven is reporting frequent Plugged In/Unplugged events.

- If unsuccessful, try using the known working cable to install the Raven in another vehicle.
- Look through the vent holes at the bottom of the Raven to check for green LEDs.
- If the LEDs are OFF, the Raven may not be receiving power.
- If the LEDs are ON, the Raven may have a defective display.
